Frances reflects on the start of week two:

On day 5 we all started off trowelling the site again because it had rained over the weekend. After the break groups A and D went over to Albion Street for a talk about public archaeology. We then went for a walk round the walls and got to see the new exhibits set up on sections of the wall, which are going to be open to the public over summer. Our groups then went to another archaeological site in Chester where 5 minutes earlier they had found a genuine Roman coin! We again spent the afternoon trowelling with only a small amount of rain
